Okay, thanks for the responses to the last entry about minimum necessary belongings - useful ideas and food for thought there! Now a more practical question - if you were going to pack up several rooms' worth of stuff into boxes, and you didn't have a car or a lot of money, where would you get the boxes? I can bus myself to a self-storage place that sells boxes, but I think they are rather expensive. I've tried the 'ask at local convenience store' thing, and it worked but also resulted in the chap at the shop getting Too Interested in me. *sigh*

They do have a 3-4 bedroom pack that's even bigger, but that's probably larger than you need! :)
The latter two also come with rolls of tape, but that's probably less critical to your decision process than number/size of boxes.
