brief update

New job started yesterday with a three-hour handover session. I'm holding the fort myself till the more senior new admin person arrives back from holiday on Monday. I'm fairly awake and I think I can manage. I must get to bed earlier in general, though.

fun stuff to look forward to at the weekend, though, yay!

no subject

computer breaking down. It doesn't want to play USB any longer and I am failing to fix it. I'm having to unplug and fiddle with the keyboard and mouse every few minutes, and about every 20 minutes to half our both freeze, leaving me no option but to force reboot.

HELL.

work is going okay, people are nice, I can do the stuff, the phone system is non-threatening, s'good. except the getting up early bit.
