Just in case any of my potentially-interested readers haven't heard about this, or don't know where to get information: The Bicon 2003 website. I went to Bicon 2002 and had a lot of fun. Feel free to ask about it.
I am considering going, just not really looking that far ahead at the moment. I've not been before, and I am quite curious as to what it is like, and whether it is scary!
It was a very little bit scary, I have to say, but then anything where I am meeting a big group of strangers is scary. After the first workshop, though, I felt right at home. If you look back at my posts for the end of August 2002, there will be a Bicon review somewhere :)

It helped that I knew some people, and that one of the people I knew (<lj-users=lark_ascending>) had a room very close to mine. It meant I had someone to do lunch with one day, and people to hang with at the discos. In the workshops, though, there's no need to know people. I did Sign Language, Bellydance, a game session, a discussion on body image and attractiveness, and a session on the Bible and Bisexuality. There were a zillion other things I wanted to do, like singing, art, discussions about the bi community, an LJ meetup session, a workshop on sex toys... you name it, there's a workshop for it.
I met lots of people, and had a lot of fun. Meeting people in workshops is very easy. Last year there was a method for meeting people for meals too, which worked really well.
All sorts of people turn up. Young people, older people, monogamous people, poly people, kinky people, vanilla people, loud people, quiet people, silly people, sensible people, people who dress up in conventional-ish clothes, people who dress up in fetishwear, people who dress in drag, people who don't dress at all (there was a naturist social), but everyone is generally nice, welcoming, and obviously, bi-friendly :)
I'm not getting paid for this, I really did have a lot of fun :)
I considered going last year, but chickened out (and intensely irritated j4 in the process). Am thinking about it, though moral (or should that be immoral?) support would be appreciated...
