Okay, I screwed up. A bit. Instead of tomorrow being the day of little work, with a hearing appointment in the morning and a job interview in the afternoon (and about 3.5 hours of work in between), the hearing appointment is this morning. I have counselling in the afternoon at 2, which would mean leaving work at 1.15. I won't get back there before 11.15 (and that's if I'm lucky). So, is it worth my going in for two hours at the least busy time of the day (the lunch break?) I'm inclined to think not, but am wary of saying so.

Bit late to say this now but I always figure it is not my decision but my bosses. Talk to them and explain the situation and say you didn't think it was worth it but always get confirmation from them. They need to know what you are up to after all so it makes sense. Unless you are actually taking it as a day of holiday in which case it would seem to make little difference.
