One of my housemates has a project to do with electronic circuits and radio transmission. He asked me to see if any of you know anything about this area. Do post a comment if you do - he has my LJ username so I can point him to this post for any responses :)

Date: Friday, 9 November 2007 12:35 am (UTC)Now I can finally get out of the standstill that my project has been in for the past week.
By the way, is that Yomiko Reedman as your avatar?

Date: Friday, 9 November 2007 01:01 am (UTC)Yes, it is Yomiko Readman. I am a big anime fan and Read or Die is one of my favourite series. I have quite a lot of English-subtitled anime on my computer if you are interested...
Good luck with your project! Oh, and have you read the message downstairs about the tenancy agreement? It's important!

Date: Friday, 9 November 2007 02:53 am (UTC)ROD was nice, I enjoyed it.
Yes, I did read the message downstairs, though I don't know the details of what you were talking about with the landlady as I've been pretending to be asleep when she visited yesterday.
As for a solution, there is a high chance that I will have to return to my family in a month because of family problems, so the issue will probably solve itself.
Hmm, I do love anime, though I promised myself to spend the rest of my stay here productively so I'm not sure if I'd be able to watch it. :P
Unless you have Lucky Star... I'd watch that anytime!

Date: Friday, 9 November 2007 03:38 am (UTC)I don't have Lucky Star, unfortunately. I have recently finished watching some silly things like Oruchuban Ebichu and Ouran Academy Host Club; I have started watching Bokurano, but it is very dark and somewhat depressing, so I haven't persuaded myself to get beyond the first few episodes yet. It is very good, just... not cheerful. I'm also watching Panda Z, but it is so crazy I can't watch much at once! I won't tempt you with it while you are trying to work, though. I should also be working, as I was supposed to hand in three essays this week... Hmm, maybe I should ask my friend Adam over - he is a big anime geek, and a few months ago he spent a weekend showing my girlfriend and I a lot of different anime. I'm sure he'd enjoy doing the same again and introducing you to some new stuff. And perhaps you could afford to take one evening away from your studies? :)

I haven't had an anime marathon since... er... three days, apparently.
School Rumble was just too much to resist! The randomness and absurdism in it kept me literally laughing the entire time. I can still hear the opening song in my head...
I loved Ouran High School Club as well. "Woah, mass production!"
I hope they release a second season once the manga advances a few more volumes.
Hmm, haven't watched any of the other titles yet. But once my workload has lightened I shall do so with due haste. Panda Z looks very entertaining!
