Still in net cafe, sadly. Matthew is back from his holiday but he's having trouble setting up the net connection. Hopefully it won't take too long to sort - I think my mail account is on the point of explosion.
On Saturday Michael came over and we went off to the cinema by way of an Italian restaurant. Reign of Fire was cool, even if the dragons did lose in the end. Then we sat around for a while and nattered before collapsing tiredly. Next morning I emerged blinking from my room to find he'd gone and bought bacon-sandwich-making-materials, so we made those and I picked his brains on character stats. Then he headed off to his lunch date and I pottered around the house a bit before getting dressed up for the game. New trousers, yay.
Game was good; my character spent quite a while feeling very useless, so now has a great incentive to Learn Things. I've also sorted out her love-life background which was bugging me quite a lot. It was great to meet people like Becky and Ginnie, although I really ought to try meeting them OOC too or I could get horribly confused :)
Monday I pottered around some more (I waste enormous amounts of time doing nothing), fiddled with my CV a little, and went off to visit wol and Igloo in their new house. It's nice, if chaotic, and they have a lovely garden. I got back to find Krys and Matt had returned from LARP marathon, and we had a bit of a chat. It was nice to have them back again - the house is all empty without them :)
Tuesday I had been planning to be useful and visit job agencies and go to the pub and go dancing, but I went 'flop' instead. I was feeling rather useless and down. I did manage to do some weeding in the garden - well, mainly remove the bindweed from the patio - and some laundry, but not much else. In the evening a mini-Buffython was held, and I squeaked irritatingly about Willow most of the way through. *How* can she be *quite* that *CYUTE*? *ahem*
So, after feeling awful yesterday because I did nothing and failed to see friends and take exercise, today I have been active and useful. I've revamped my CV, printed it, got into smart clothes, and I'm just about to pop into Brook Street and remind them they got me a job once before. I'm not really looking forward to getting another job, but I do need the money, and I'm not doing much else useful, so it's got to be done.
Incidentally, can anyone local actually show me how to use Dreamweaver? It would be useful.

Date: Wednesday, 28 August 2002 07:21 am (UTC)We have some purpose to make the house full! Rarr! ;)
Glad you had a good weekend though - it's nice to have the house to yourself sometimes I think. And many people like Alyson Hannigan too :).
We keep doing Buffy - we need to do the house porn/parodies night we've been joking about: "Playmate of the Apes" and "Erotic Raider" and all that ;).
Have you thought about dropping your CV into Champion as well since they are very nice people, and maybe Reed (although never been as good)?
I was going to offer to kick you about a bit to do things, but it doesn't look like I'm going to need to :).
See you later :)
*hugs*
Krystyna
