no subject

More net cafe. I'm in the cheaper one which has no telnet facility, just checking LJ and email and then I'm off to the pub to meet chrisvenus for his celebration/commiseration thing. I need things to do tomorrow. If all else fails I shall watch Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon all by my little self.

Grr grr, need home internet. I have failed to do much useful today. I did a little reading about Elizabeth I and religious tolerance, but not enough (barely one article), and then some more cross-stitch and, oh yes, a really rather nice paper-cut of a fish, adapted from one in my big book of paper-cut designs. NEed scanner, then I can get some of these things online. MUST set up my printer. Have to get motivation to go job-hunting. Ganesh sent me info about a job, but it wants Dreamweaver, web authoring and PDF file making. I don't think I have quite the skill level they want, and certainly no employment experience of the sort. But is this my lack of confidence talking, and should I just go for it? It was nice of him to send me the info, anyway.

Right, anyway, nearly an hour here, so I should get going. I keep tracking down more people I met at BiCon, which is nice. My friends page is getting way too huge :)

I didn't know chiark had one, but a) my chiark account isn't set up yet (have yet to send off the rules form) and b) I tried the pendragon(.linc.ox.ac.uk) mindterm and it didn't like that either. It was actually blocking all of those sorts of connections. I'm picking the one in town at the moment because it's better, despite being 50p more expensive per time-unit.
