I'm doing some work. But by way of incentive, I'm posting a meme.

The anonymous limerick meme! You write a limerick about me, post it anonymously, and I try to guess who you are. I fail miserably and you then, if you are feeling kind, give me clues, in verse or otherwise. Including some hint as to your identity in your original limerick is good form, I feel.

I am going to go away from the computer and try to ignore it for an hour while i wrestle with poems; I'm hoping there might be a limerick or two to entertain myself with when I return :)

There once was a woman named Lucy
Who know how to draw really cutesy
Feeling particularly lewd
She drew her character nude
That Rat does look rather juicy!

Nope, although I was there...

Clue: Knitting but not with needles.

Yep... although I have no underscore in me name. :P

There was a young lady from Reading
For whom bedclothes were quite prone to shedding
She likes pillows and sheets
And the word on the streets
Is she also likes lots of good bedding!

My clue is the fidelity I show to the constraints of the poetic form.

But the form of the limerick goes beyond the rhyme and meter.

Of course. Limericks are supposed to be suggestive, if not downright lewd!

If you want to know who to impute
Know this limerick comes without fruit
The penultimate letter
It doesn't know better
And gives its successor the boot!

Sorry!

Oh no! It's another daft meme!
of poetry you can't redeem!
The point of the game?
to obscure one's name.
...remember the New rowing team.

[looking up IP addresses is cheating]

Neither guess is correct. I was not a student at Oxford.

An LJ-er named [livejournal.com profile] taimatsu
Set a challenge for something to do
The anonymous style
Made one fellow smile
And as usual you have to guess who

A journaller called Lucy-Lu
Was known for the things she would do
Her morals were plastic
Nick-named Lucy Lastic
...No relation to Miss Taimatsu.

A student who once was at New
moved to Reading, and studies there too.
With roleplaying, singing,
and Brownies and other things,
She has so many things to do.

(And I'm really sorry about the infidelity to the constraints of the form. The clue is I'm rubbish at this so must be a scientist. (-:)

While Lucy is fond of a tease
And is usually found at her ease
This is not allowed
(Yomiko would be proud):
The book, could you give it back please?
