taimatsuMonday afternoon, and my weekend isn't over yet :) It's nice working three days a week!
There was a weekend, with a lot in it. I wouldn't call it a *good* weekend, as such, but it was overall not actually *bad*, and could have been infinitely worse, so on balance I win.
I went to see fireworks at Leeds Castle in Kent. Westlife performed - for fifteen minutes, inaudibly, introduced by Invicta FM. I thought they were doing better than that, somehow. Then things went bang, very prettily, to the dulcet tones of Robbie Williams (good) and the Crazy Frog (not so good). Then I took a seven-year-old on a giant chicken on a merry-go-round, Robert made the mistake of giving her the inflatable hammer he'd won, and we went back to Wimbledon.
The following day there was *no* hot-air ballooning, as the weather was wrong, so we had a long lunch instead, followed by an impromptu party with Chinese picnic and loud music. It went well. Then we came back to Reading and slept.
Today I have been sorting out clothes and starting to construct potential Christmas presents. Brownies tonight, work and English class tomorrow.
