argh, argh, argh. Mutt is fine with my folders but when it starts the main inbox is blank! Argh! Where's my mail?

I am going to bed now, and I will struggle further with it all in the morning. Fair warning to geek inhabitants of irc channels I may have frequented in the past, or of my IM friendlist - you may be pelted with really stupid questions for long periods. Apologies in advance. Duck and cover.

Argh! Where's my mail?

I don't know, but if you find out, you can tell mutt with the 'spoolfile' variable in your .muttrc. Mine says:

set spoolfile = /var/mail/martin

and yours may be somewhere similar.

And if you borrowed the .muttrc I sent you, you might want to check that all the bits with my name in got changed! (which when *I* first inherited it from whoever I inherited it from, I forgot to do & got confused.... ) Also check any variables you've set at the top of your .procmailrc.
