Cam: database ranting

So I got told (via UKG, if I remember rightly) to sort out an ID for the White Wolf website and thence the Camarilla Resource Database, because the old Approvals DB was being retired. Various people had various problems with this process. I sorted out my ID fine, but when I logged into the CRD there were no characters there. So I logged a bug report, and now, after three or four days of swapping bug notes with the US NC, I discover that we're still using the old DB and my characters aren't *supposed* to be on the new thing and basically WHAT THE FUCK? Why am I dealing with the CRD at all if all my info is on the old thing and isn't moving yet? (USNC says 'in the near future' but ha ha ha.)
Can anyone shed light on this? What the hell? I'm more confused than a pirate in Bluewater.

Date: Monday, 12 September 2005 08:57 pm (UTC)The new DB has fancy new character sheets which only work for nWoD games (they're going to be useful once debugged, is my guess). The way I understand it, those are what we're not yet supposed to be using.
You should be able to see any old approvals you may have had on the approvals DB you get to via the new Camsite. If you can't, Wes can associate you (it took about a week for mine to show up, but Wes is busier now than he was back then).
So, basically, you can no longer see the old approvals stuff unless you use the new log in. The old approvals database works the same as it did before, assuming you can get onto it.
Hoping that doesn't cause even more confusion...
