They were right - there aren't any places in Clearing for English at Reading. Looks like there's a vacancy for Typography and English, though, which I would be applying for if I had finished the forms etc. Ah well. It's only a minor irritation, as it's not precisely what I want to do.

If you wanted to go through Clearing its not too late, or ask if you can come in and complete a Record of Prior Acceptance.

I did an optional course at the Typography department during my degree (Cybernetics in the next set of huts).

I found it very interesting.

Reading's system means (meant?) that it's not difficult to chop and change bits of joint degrees.

If you can, I'd go for it.
