Wow, that's a rather fabulous list! Will indeed let you know if I want to learn any! (And can't find the music otherwise)

Hoep to hear you singing many of them one time or another...

I thought I was the only one who'd been taught "What shall we do when we leave the navy?" :).

if you could learn to sing The Bonnie House Of Airlie (http://www.contemplator.com/child/airlie.html) (i know a version by Kate Rusby) that would be supersupersuper good. i think it would suit your voice very very much. and it is exceedingly gorgeous. there are probably better lyrics and music than this (i know i prefer Kate's version but afaik she has only sung her version live, never released it. the fiend.) - i expect you know good folk music places to look.

Woo - so much singing at Shards then? Any chance that if you work out ones that you are likely to sing there you could let me know so I can try to have a better idea of the words.

I wonder if there's time/value in redoing the shards songbook..?

Cool! In which caase I'll just polish up the words to ones that I'm likely to know! There are a few songs on my listens through stuff that might be relevant, so I'll see about trying to track them down for you.

I have *ahem* access to photocopying, and I'm unlikely to be busy at work in early August, so if people like I can redo/copy more song books.

I'll put a post up on the group about it.
