I'm back. I'm not going to talk about the Changeling National just yet, until I've had a chance to think about it and talk to some people, except to say that whatever else happened or didn't happen, the people (especially MattMatt, Helen, Andy and James) and the food (yay Kath!) were great, and I appreciate the hard work that went into the organisation of it all. Thanks.

Robert took me to Hay-on-Wye this afternoon, which went a long way towards cheering me up, and we bought more piles of books - I'll post an individual and joint count when I've looked through them again. Then we came home, and now I'm off to have a bath. Reed meeting, 4pm Monday; on Thursday Kat visits. Otherwise I have no very specific plans aside from AAAAARGH HOUSE FRENZY. I'll get onto other people who've offered visits etc. tomorrow. Thanks for being supportive. :)

'Scuse the wry expression: some of the stuff in your LJ strikes altogether too close to home. Apart from the work stuff: I've had more practice than you, and know when and how to jump before I'm pushed... And how to make sure the CV remains a plausible (and verifiable) record of an exemplary employee.

Reed may try to be difficult, or HR-Ubercow-ish on Monday: come Tuesday you'll know the truth about all personnel interviews - "This person with CIPM diploma and the careful phrasing isn't anything like as important as she thinks she is".

Meanwhile, what did you get at Hay-On-Wye?
