If you happen to be working on some creative writing project, fanfiction or NaNoWriMo or what have you, post exactly one sentence from each of your current work(s) in progress in your journal. It should probably be your favourite or most intriguing sentence so far, but what you choose is entirely your discretion. Mention the title (and genre) if you like, but don't mention anything else -- this is merely to whet the general appetite for your forthcoming work(s).

I don't write a lot, so no prizes for guessing what work-in-progress this comes from:

"Alice felt herself flush to the roots of her hair in a wave of heat that seemed to spread out and down and establish itself somewhere quite unrelated to her face."

I have had some useful comments from Catriona, so I will hopefully be finishing this thing sometime before hell freezes over :) Encouraging comments/queries/gibes/thigh-rubbing welcome.

*HUG* I am currently sorting out my diary for the next two weeks or so, so I shall drop you a line shortly and attempt to arrange a get-together. I have looked you up on Multimap; what is the recommended train station and bus therefrom? (Because I miss you too!)

Slough, which is right next to their bus station. Then you want the 81 bus towards Hounslow (there's one every 15 minutes), and you get out at a pub on the High Street (just down the road from us). Will tell you more nearer the time!
