I've just realised why, at B Movie on Friday, damerell and I took five minutes of staring at each other to recognise who the other was, and then had to ask to make sure. It's because he now expects me to look like this:


and I have him pegged as looking like this:


So obviously we had trouble.

Gosh, David Damerell? I used to have some fine old arguments with him on uk.games.roleplay back in the mid to late 90's.

Well, i've never met him or anything. We just used to argue a lot on newsgroups and I remember the name.

You ended up dancing right opposite him at one point. You were both wearing plain black trousers and t-shirts, and both have short light-brown to blond hair. :) Yes, this amused me, for some reason. Sort of mirrored goths.

I remembered you as being taller or shorter but I can't decide which, which is quite confusing.
