Things are a bit better today; Mummy is more responsive and I'm feeling all right.

My application for Patchwork Universe has been accepted, so Sarah, Christi and anyone else involved should look out for a new arrival sometime soon :)

Shortly I'm heading off to read in a field watch Robert play cricket, and then go out for nice food. I might make it to Oxford on Sunday after all! And on Monday there's the Melissa Etheridge concert; so, despite missing Trowbridge, I won't be too dull over the weekend.

Clare/Alice is coming on well, but I got too tired last night to finish it. They are, however, out of the bath (finally!). Any volunteers to beta-read it when it's done (aside from Robert)? I probably only want about two (given the small circle of people who will be interested), so don't all rush at once! Oh, and does anyone have tips for choosing titles?

I have just spent two hours sitting with my mother, and finished reading 'Olivia Joules and the Overactive Imagination' by Helen Fielding (who wrote the Bridget Jones books). It was jolly good, even if my disbelief had to be suspended over a deeper chasm than usual :) During the last few chapters I really couldn't put it down.

I think my companion during the cricket will be 'The Eustace Diamonds' (Trollope) which I have read before, but not for a while.
