Ramble

me and all my family are still alive.

I spent most of today caring for my mother non-stop, because she did not want non-family aboutand my dad was trying to work. I wound up so exhausted I was ready to weep. I cancelled coffee with Miles. finally went and had minor strop at dad (who was having coffee with a visitor) and got him to take over. Uncle John now here, which is good.

People have been great. Mummy has rallied a bit these last two days which is lovely but actually means she is a tad harder to care for because she's more vocal about her preferences.

Giles gets back tomorrow. Can't wait. Night nurse tomorrow as well from Marie Curie, and Thursday too.

might make it to gig. Might make it to Daisy. Worried about getting train to gig, have feeling might not manage that depending on issues here.

we have a big hospital bed now with an air mattress and a remote control. and all sorts of other equipment. District nurses call three times a day, and the doctor comes a lot too.

i have a Palm m105. it used to beling to Andrew who has a shinier one now. I must get batteries for it.

where do you have to come from for the gig? If London, I may be able to offer lift to Reading in time, and then lift back in morning

Wimbledon. Robert is driving me back afterwards. If the timing is right a lift there would be great. You have my number, don't you? I'll check email, anyway.

Well, I have NO idea where Wimbledon is, but if you want to catch public transport to Uxbridge, I can leave by about 5 o'clock?

Having looked at tube maps and journey planners, and worked out times, I think the train from Paddington will be quicker and easier.

Thanks so much for the offer though - it would have been good to spend time with you too, but time is rather of the essence at the moment, so the quicker I can travel, the better.
