taimatsuI have not previously succeeded in integrating the real-person and supernatural-thingy aspects of my Mage character. After useful discussion with Robert last night, I now have some ideas for doing so, but BOY have I got a lot of writing to do. It seems I'm going to have to write up her understanding of each rote, not to mention the spheres in general and so on...
She has a well-thought-out and specific paradigm, but I have a problem including other foci than just the guitar. Thing is, the other focus I could include is meditation, probably incorporating twiddling with bits of thread. But if Clare works out she can do X by meditating, then pretty quickly she'd think hey, I wonder if I can do Y by meditating, where Y is something previously attempted with the guitar. Both foci map onto the same understanding of the Tellurian as a web, where if you pluck the threads or make them ripple in some way you can influence reality. If it worked, and it might or might not, she'd pretty quickly lose the guitar for anything except Empathic Projection. Then again, it might not work, because she might be too unsure about it. I don't know.
Argh!
Does anyone who is significantly into the Mage venue feel like offering themself as an email character-advice clinic? :)
