Garden is becoming a wilderness again. As soon as it is not wet again I will be out there pulling up something sticky I used to think was goosegrass, but isn't (in long sleeves and big gloves) and borage (which is nice, but not *everywhere*). And chopping down big things and brambles. I might buy a compost bin. There's a local offer for cheapish ones.

The cheapish ones on a Council discount aren't much good unless you have a great deal of stuff to go in them. Even then they might not be.

Well, mine has not done much in the 18 months we've had it. This may be due to my partner's inability to comprehend the difference between rottable and unrottable waste.

Ooh, how big are these compost bins? I am looking for an ickle one (as I have the world's smallest garden), but everything seems to be huge.

Buy one of the very cheap plastic outside bins (with a lid that fits) and then drill some holes in it.
Much cheaper than things labelled 'compost bin' i've found.
