I would like to thank everyone who has been so supportive over the last few days. It has really brought home to me what fantastic friends I have; people who will make an effort for me even though I don't see them very often. Thanks to everyone who has commented and contacted me to be supportive. Particular thanks to people like meirion, nou, imc, lnr, libellum and weds who offered to meet up with me at the point where I felt unable to cope without company - I managed to keep myself occupied in the end, and have a bag to show for it! Huge, major thanks to Steve L and Liz who phoned me and kept me sane at various points, and a jaw-droppingly, flabbergastingly ginormous thank you to Lauren Michelle, who phoned me all the way from Portland, Oregon just to say hi :)

I am so grateful to all of you. Thanks. I'll try to be that kind of friend for you guys, too.

I missed this saga, due to galavanting around London and Leicester last week. Please accept my sympathy, as I can't offer anything more substantive. I had a feeling when I read the first entry that your uberboss had made up her mind, and then watched the slow unfolding of nemesis. I do hope that things work out better soon.
