If you are reading my posts and don't know what to say in response, but would like to say something, feel free to just say 'I read this but don't know what to say' or post a blank or 'full-stop-only comment. It would be good, at present, to know people are reading what I have to say.

I have calmed down slightly. I have wibbled lots in my paper diary. I have worked out what I actually want to do for the next few days; unfortunately, it doesn't involve going to Paris.

I want to:

see Robert

sleep a lot

cook a bit

and pack unhurriedly for Shards.

So now I just have to explain this to my dad and find a way of telling Dominique I'm not coming without hideously offending her.

Is someone else feeling unnaturally serene at the moment? I'm sure I'm way more confused than any one person could normally manage. I must have someone else's confusion too.

email dilemma

I have talked to Robert a bit and have just finished writing an email (in French) to Dominique, which I haven't sent yet. I feel a bit crap about cancelling on her by email so near the time, but I don't know that I can explain properly on the phone (in French), especially not without crying. *sigh* So I'm not sure whether I should send this or just suck it up and phone her, and deal with the awkwardness.

In other news, people who don't confirm whether or not they're going to ST their own damn games are less than entirely impressive.

Am now going nuts because despite setting veerything in sight to the same character set (currently UTF-8) I can't make my French email text paste properly with accents from Textedit into Pine on Terminal (Mac OS X). AAAAAAAAARGH. Any tips?


Edit: Sent it from hotmail instead. Stupid machine. :)
