Recent events:
Friday evening I should have gone to tabletop at Dave and Adrian's - we are starting an Earthdawn campaign - but I was feeling ill and full of cold, so I stayed in bed instead. Robert bought me Ribena and lemons.
Saturday we lazed about a lot and watched Fame Academy.
Sunday I went to London for a craft mailing-list get-together, which was very fun. I did a ittle knitting and ate yummy biscuits. Then I went to Enfield (via missed trains and extra buses) for Gerv's baptism. It was good and I'm glad I went. Then I went for some pasta with people, and then got trains. I was exhausted by the time I got back, which meant I was dopey this morning and almost didn;t get up in time for my interview.
I got there on time, though, getting one bus, one train, onw wander round Twyford, one expensive taxi-ride (and one traffic-jam) to get to Henley for noon. The interview was pleasant, and the people and job seem nice. It's not quite as well-paid as I'd like, but the major negative point is the distance. I don't know whether I have the job yet, but I will get a call soon, one way or the other. I really need to decide if I want it or not, they want to get someone in post soon. The work looks varied and I would get to help lots ofpeople in the small team. There are events to help at - these sometimes run into weekends. I wouldn't have to do all of these, only a few a year, but I'm not sure yet whether they're a good or bad thing.
I got caught in the rain on the way back, and so when I came in I got into my pyjamas and dressing gown and read some Adrian Plass in bed. Of course, I fell asleep. Robert phoned half-an-hour ago, fortunately, and now I have to get dressed to go out for my first Japanese lesson, at 7.30.
Enough for now. Feeling quite odd, not eaten enough today, not capable of cooking, generally WEIRD. Have appt at agency tomorrow afternoon.
Off to change clothes now :)
