I have an interview!
Friday, 19 September 2003 04:48 pminterview! interviewinterview! I sent off my CV and a covering email for a post at the British Franchise Association (based in henley) for a position as general assistant. I have an informal interview at 12 on Monday! I am not sure it's exactly what I want, but I am so chuffed to be invited for interview! YAY! the big downside is the journey - it's two trains :( but it pays 10K which is not bad, and it might be quite interesting :)

in other news, today i have sent off an application to be a secretarial assistant in the main library at U of reading, whiteknights campus, which looks like almost my ideal job. I think my application was pretty good, and I redid my CV completely and targeted it for the post. I also went to enrol at RACC, and I will have my first Japanese class on Monday evening!
The job fair yesterday was really good. I spoke to some useful people; an agency in Bracknell now has my CV, and I have some info about jobs in the NHS locally, and I have spoken to people from Reed and Adecco who were helpful, but most of all, I got Really Good CV Advice at the advice clinic. Not only that, but the woman who helped me also studied theology, and so she said she would help me further if I email my CV to her :)
I'm actually quite surprised by the interview request - it was just an application I dashed off in a hurry, an advert clipped from the paper, and I didn't expect anything much to come of it. but yay, yay, bounce!
