I don't think I've mentioned why I picked 'taimatsu' as a username. It's Japanese and means 'torchlight'. When I was trying to find a nickname for a cosplay mailing list, I chose the Japanese words corresponding to the meanings of my first two names - Lucy> Light> Hikari and Clare> Bright/Clear or Famous> Kagayaki (Bright/Shining). 'Taimatsu' was another related word I came up with. I chose it because it's completely unguessable. Unlike previous nicks - Lucy, LucyK, LCK, Elsie - you'd have to be told it to be able to find this diary.

there was something...
Monday, 4 March 2002 07:50 pmsomething I was going to write about, and can't remember. It'll come back to me.
The other day I bought a random tacky CD from Tescos - ten quid, 'Love So Strong'. Surprisingly, I'm enjoying it. It's a double CD, and while some of the tracks aren't to my taste, others are, or have grown on me, and some are real classics. And sometimes I need soppy music, anyway.
I really need to get glasses. Really. I print out my essays in 14 or 16-point now, just so I can read them without squinting painfully.
Not to mention a hearing test, and a dental appointment, and a haircut, and argh, some new shoes, and maybe another pair of jeans since the other black ones don't fit anymore, and on second thoughts, really some new shoes, because the black ones are making my feet actually hurt now, and oh dear, oh dear.
Anyway, I have nice friend with nice RAM for my computer coming round shortly, and I have a tidy bedroom. Ok, I have nothing in the fridge, but I'll live.
Ow, why have I got a headache?
