Okay, so I had a bad cough at about 7, and took meds at about 8 , thinking, well, if I need to take a second round I can do that at midnight, since the co-codamol needs a 4-hour gap. At 9 I was just fine; it had al woirked and I was abarely coughing at al/. By 10.30 I had the light out and the cough was back full force. So I've taken a half-dose of Robitussin and am waiting half an hour till I can take the pills at midnight. STUPID COUGH.
