If you're having trouble breathing, please go to the doctor. It could be pneumonia -- having trouble breathing is one of the symptoms which distinguishes pneumonia from the common cold.
Thanks for the tip. I don't think I'm having *that* kind of trouble yet - it's more that breathing deeply irritates the inflamed bits of my throat and hendc3e precipitates coughing. I'll go and bash NHS Direct Online, though, and watch out for worse symptoms.
