I am not going to work. I feel like I have a balloon with a number of small weights inside tied around my middle. I am going to call my doctor and go to the chemist, and otherwise stay nice and safely close to my bathroom. I wish I knew what I might be reacting to.

Hope the doctor and chemist are helpful. As Ash says, you're being extremely sensible to not be going to work!
love,
Elly

Date: Friday, 9 January 2004 02:34 am (UTC)I think I might have a digestive disorder. Did I complain of this (or non-period stomach ache, or other digestive torments) while I was living with you, do you remember? I can't work out how long this has been going on. Ignore this question if you like, I know it's way TMI.

Date: Friday, 9 January 2004 01:58 am (UTC)The stuff my doctor put me on is Colofac it used to be only on prescription but you can now get it over the pharmacy counter.
I never really found out what triggered mine, though I suspect skipping meals and being stressed make it worse for me.
A couple of other things I found that helped - Walking, lying on my back and hugging my knees to my chest for a bout 5 mins (I think this helps things uncramp) and trying to stretch my abdominal muscles.
Its really uncomfortable and unpleasent tho, and of course feeling ill makes you more stressed which makes the whole thing worse.

Hope you feel better soon!
