Various things reminded me. Public service announcement follows.

I have a facial skin disorder known as rosacea (ros-AY-sha) which causes parts of my facial skin to become red and inflamed. It is connected to frequent and severe blushing. It is not curable, only controllable, and it can be very uncomfortable and even painful, not to mention embarrassing. That said, it is not *cute* when I blush, it is upsetting and damaging to my skin, and comments on it make me uncomfortable.

My mom has that; she's had several operations to try and fix it, but they only work to an extent. She can't stand it. I'll probably develop it myself when I get older. Bah.

My partner has it also, and it comes and goes, she had a treatment with strong anti biotics a while ago, that made her feel dizzy and spaced out, but it seems to have disappeared over the last year, without any intervention.

Hmm, I was at last years Bicon too but don't think I remember you (or maybe I'm just being dozy). You obviously aren't the person I thought you were as they were at this year's Bicon. Oops! ;-)
