I have been to the doctor's and got a repeat prescription which is good, my blood pressure is fine, and they are putting me in touch with the local audiology department. I have bought shampoo and some hairslides. I have heard back about the scary Energis job - I did a good interview but was too quiet, so I'm not getting put through to the next stage. Darn. Oh well.

I have not started my LARP costume sewing because the sewing machine I bought from a friend some months back has the wrong manual with it. I am unhappy about this. I may have to start sewing tunics by hand.

I have to go to Platinum this afternoon to do paperwork. I have started playing Yohoho! Puzzle Pirates which is great fun :)

That is a bald summary of my day so far. I am feeling a bit boring and uninteresting. Is there anything you think I should write about?

Oooh... puzzlepirates... :) If you are looking for a good crew may I reccomend Dark Despair Dragons (I think, its something like that) led by Torridthorn (definitely the right name). He's a nice bloke and its my crew so it means we might get to go sailing together from time to time. I've been there for about a month now I think so I know my way about. Shout if you have any questions.

Oh, my name on it is aziphrael.

Might have to play some of that tonight since I think I am not doing much else. :)

I've just had a jobs thought. You could ring Reading Council and ask if they maintain a temps register. That would get you work on and off filling vacant posts while they advertise them, with some variety, and if you find one you like you could apply for it. Also cuts out the agency's commission.

Not all Councils have them though, some do use agencies.

Re sewing machine - if you contact the maker of the machine by letter or e-mail and say "I have used your model x machine for a number of years and am very happy with it, but unfortunately have lost my manuel, please can I have a new one?" they are generally pretty happy to send one out. I have had to do this a couple of times.

Ah yes, that would make it more difficult. Can you find an address from http://www.yell.co.uk ? As assuming the company still exists they may still be able to help.
