We're off for a wedding on Saturday, but we'll be kicking around in Glasgow on Friday night. Anyone got any recommendations or fancy meeting up for a drink or something?
Oh I really want to see you both! Give me a time and we can figure out a place. Haven't seen either of you socially in ages.
As I'm a bit sad the only pub I know in Glasgow is the Glasgow game site, and I don't know what it will be like on a Friday. Gimme some time and some minions and I'm sure we can find something. So - set some time aside for me and maybe Jason and I'll come and meet you both for sure.
The Lismore on Dumbarton Road is excellent with a fine range of single malts and generous measures : )
It will however be quite busy later in the evening. If you do go, get Robert to see the gents urinals (not dodgy, I promise).
Also, a lot of the Bars around Ashton Lane off Byres road are quite nice (if trendy), ditto Cottiers in the West End (which sometimes has live music), it also does (probably a bit pricey) food - it's a converted church and you'll pass my parents house (no. 49 lawrence street) diagonally down from it.
In the centre it's bit more samey - though Revolution's good for vodka.
I'm going to be in Glasgow from staurday morning so it looks like I'll miss you guys : (
Wedding, in Glasgow, Saturday afternoon and evening. So we're around Friday night, not-really-Saturday-morning, and Sunday morning. If any of that's good...
