Tuesday, 5 August 2003 01:00 pmHave just read 'The Narrative of Sojourner Truth' which is moderately fantastic. Talked to mother on phone. She's buying me an Ikea lampshade and some paper shades for the downstairs front room and upstairs back room. Going to go and peer furtively at 'to-do' lists now.
Must sort out craft stuff, creative skills atrophying. Argh.
Does anyone want to commission a character drawing? I could do with something to focus on. (No promises, but I'll see what I can do). Free, too.

Date: Tuesday, 5 August 2003 05:46 am (UTC)Sorry to disappoint you, but drawing a character that's already been drawn lots, as opposed to a character usually described in words rather than images, is intimidating.
Oh yes, and owing to deficiencies in my current tech quotient, these will be drawn On Paper and scanned at a later point, so no promises on exactly when any drawing will emerge into the light of the Web.

Date: Tuesday, 5 August 2003 05:57 am (UTC)Other than being with the cubs, she has a battered old dark blue Citroen 2CV, which she is extremely attached to, and drives extremely badly. She likes Gilbert and Sullivan operetta, and reads the dictionary in her spare time (really - she loves human language - that's why she's so fond of long words).
Does that help at all?

Date: Tuesday, 5 August 2003 06:15 am (UTC)Hair length?
Any bags or accessories that she habitually carries? Any jewellery or earrings?
My brain has developed a rainbow-coloured tie-dye hippie-style long-sleeved t-shirt. Is this a heinous mistake or along the right lines?

Date: Tuesday, 5 August 2003 06:34 am (UTC)How does she wear her hair? Can you give me any links to pictures of wolf cubs? What shoes does she like? I am presuming she likes being outdoors.
Must buy tracing paper.

Date: Tuesday, 5 August 2003 07:13 am (UTC)Earrings tend to be small and practical, and not likely to get caught in anything. Jewelerywise, nothing that would jangle, but probably quite a few rings. She has a large baggy cotton handbag.

Date: Tuesday, 5 August 2003 07:15 am (UTC)She wears her hair long, and usually tied back into a ponytail, but sometimes loose. Shoe-wise, Doc Martens are probably her favourites. And yes, she likes being outdoors, although she finds cities absolutely fascinating.
Lots of wolf cub pics at:

Thanks.

What's your feeling on hobgoblins? Hobgoblins with guns?
If you're interested, I can give you a somewhat better idea of what my Shadowrun character looks like; bless

Date: Tuesday, 12 August 2003 03:59 am (UTC)He has dark, beady eyes, and shaves his head -- though may well wear a bandana, pirate-style. He has a large toolkit-type thing he carries most places he goes, and has a tendency to theft using a variety of electronic devices.
If you want an action pose, he tends to fight with a silenced pistol or with a pair of long knives.
Feel free to ignore/alter any/all of this info, it's just there to give you a better idea of what he's like (a vindictive little pirate scumbag prone to braggartry) and how he works in my mind. I'm not going to get all arsey if our visions of the character are different.
