Have just organised for a Molly Maid person to come tomorrow to quote for cleaning the house top to bottom. Now I am worrying about clearing up before she comes...
I mean *tidying* up :) There's a limit to how much they can do if there's junk everywhere, and while they will move junk they won't put it away. Besides, there's some things I just don't want them seeing. :)
If they are charging by the hour and you would like to save some money, usually, people clean the minor things that they can (and should have) taken care of.
That way, the cleaning ladies spend their time on other things that need to be done.
When she comes tomorrow we will arrange what they are to do. The entirety of everything needs doing, but really I want the carpets really well vacuumed, walls and ceilings washed, floors in kitchen and bathroom scrubbed, bathroom fittings practically sterilised, and probably all the cupboards in the kitchen cleaned out. I have quite a bit to spend on this, but it will depend what kind of quote she gives me. It's complicated by the fact that the living-room is still full of bags and odd bits of furniture, and the dining room isn't much better.
