Made it to Reading! Have been humiliatingly given just over £500 by parents, so that scotches my money worries for now. I have to get the cheque to the bank, of course... I have about 3 hours to waste till Robert gets back. I might put some laundry on or something. I have phone credit again too. Yay!

Why is that humiliating? And think carefully before you answer this considering that I have borrowed a hell of a lot more money off my parents before. And in fact I think more than that off of friends.

Its just the way the world works. You have money to spare and you lend it to the people you care about who don't have money at all.

I guess I can kind of see where the humiliation is but the only place I can find possibilitys of humiliation in the situation (well, in my situation but it parallels nice enough) is in getting to that stage in the first place.

Oh, and if getting the cheque to the bank is a potential issue why weren't you doing that rather than writing LJ posts? :)

BEcause only a few weeks before I had been all 'You can stop paying me my allowance and all that, I'm going to be terrifyingly independent!' Um, and then I ran out of money :)
