Well, that was a morning from hell.
Tuesday, 26 November 2002 01:15 pmAnd it was all my own fault, too. I got up in time, or just about. Then things went downhill. I went to iron my trousers, but they were still sopping wet - hanging them out on the single-layer rack didn't work last night. I went back upstairs, and stupidly distracted myself with email, forcing my mp3 player to download songs right, and feeling slightly ill. Then I realised the time, and the feeling ill bit leapt to the forefront. Panic ostrich reaction kicked in.
If I'd left when I first realised i was being late, i'd have arrived at nine. As it was, I got myself in a real state and after some talk with OxIRCers and a call to my mother I got into work at 10.20.
Things seem to be okay, but I have to have a chat with my line manager this afternoon. Hopefully I will be able to talk her round, and make it to the 8.10 bus tomorrow morning. *sigh
