I can't imagine any of those things are likely, as she is an English lecturer and should be doing her own work. More likely would be that she has decided on an approach to the book and is pushing it without taking a more rounded view. It's quite possible that if I analyse this play, look at it in its totality, I might then come to conclusions like hers about it. But her presentation is skipping the step of taking all the evidence into account.
