Yes, there are surely things she could've done. Then again, I suspect the poem was really pretty filthy. But then she didn't have to mention it at all, did she? Silly woman.
I actually sat there writing notes on what she was saying interspersed with the expostulations I couldn't manage to say out loud ('But they DO wear masks! This is rubbish! Gah, C-word! Stupid woman!'). I think nobody will be seeing my notes from that seminar but me :)
