Wow, I'm tired. Brief runthrough:
Went to Christi's birthday in Cambridge on Friday. Got soaked while doing errands on the way. Dropped off guitar to be fixed in time for BiCon. Got to Cambridge at a fairly reasonable time, and promptly started blowing large toxic plastic bubbles at people, which was fun. Party was good and nice even if Janet did make my hair go crispy. Collapsed in spare room at Christi's.
Saturday, got up, had shower to rid self of crispiness, and pottered about eating leftover chicken and clearing up. Christi and I bagged up all the leftovers and took them over to Janet and Sion's for another barbeque - very handy. Weather was being unfriendly at first but it cleared up. Met lots of nice people once again, and had lots of fun. Stayed out of the 'I-have-never' which is probably a good thing. Had lots of fun anyway *grin* Curled up on sofa ith RUG at the end, and then woke up early.
Sunday, got up about 8ish and decided I needed to do something, so washed up some glasses. Then various people appeared and were hungover, and eventually a fryup was cooked. After nattering and reading and computer-fiddling and music, Sion drove the whole carful of us to the station and Martin (ming) and I got the train to London. On said train, we geeked quite a bit, and I now have an idea (though a supremely unoriginal one) for my first Perl program. This is a great incentive to actually open the damn book and get on with it. Then I got the tube home and comforted my frantic mother (feel v. guilty, argh).
And here I am. Tomorrow is furniture, yay - anyone in Oxford feeling big and strong and want to help me put up a bookcase?
