Bladelands

I have two clashing possibilities for the weekend of 4-6 August. Elly is running a Dido & Aeneas singthrough, and Bladelands is on. Much as I would love to do Dido & Aeneas, I have already missed one Bladelands event, and I am afraid that if I miss another I might as well never go back.
So if I can make it work, I will. I need to get myself camping kit and costume, and make sure I can get there. The trains from Reading aren't too bad, though it will mean carrying stuff on the Tube, and I will need a lift at the other end unless I can get a taxi. I can buy a tent and so on, but I probably can't carry cooking equipment. I know Suzy is doing food again, but is anyone else who's going planning to cook for themselves and want to share the work? I'm quite a good camp cook!
I would like to link up with people for things like supermarket trips and so on. I'm not sure what I can offer in exchange, though there must be something (costume items? music-related something?)
Of course, if anyone happened to be driving via Reading with space in the car, I'd love them forever, but I doubt it's likely.
Anyone got any thoughts on the matter?

Date: Tuesday, 4 July 2006 10:59 am (UTC)It's an undistinguished army-green colour, and a bit grubby in places, but should be clean-up-able (the grubbiness is authentic dried mud from Glastonbury!) and to the best of my knowledge it's all still intact (and it's not too difficult to put up). Give me a shout if you want it (should be able to get it to you somehow before the beginning of August).

Re: Camping gear
Date: Tuesday, 4 July 2006 12:15 pm (UTC)on which note - i have an air mattress (with foot-pump) that i never use and you are welcome to borrow. though it's a double, and doesn't fold up as small as it might, so i'm not sure if it'll fit in the tent and a single might be more portable...
