I should be eating tastyfood in London with Robert and his father. Instead I am at home feeling cold and running to the bathroom every ten minutes. I hate my guts.
In better news, we had a fun night out last night, and I am, despite the stomach rebellion, feeling happier and chirpier than I have for a while. I have fallen in love with Robert's new amp setup and Want One Of My Own, Dammit, for I will be a Rawk Chick one of these days.
I intend to spend this afternoon doing assorted activities from the following list: mending the sofa cushions; painting little boxes; doing laundry and hand-washing silk things; throwing my brain at the Mikado score despite not knowing what it sounds like; reading Shakespeare plays and Evelyn Waugh novels; watching the first season of Sailor Moon again; thinking about my English essay.
Oh yes, I got my first assignment back; it was feedback rather than a mark, but it's generally good, and on the tick-scale I got something like three 4/5 ticks and two 3/5 ticks, which isn't bad. The things I thought I might need to improve on were, indeed, the things I need to improve on, so there were no surprises. I'm a bit worried that my one piece of bullshittery (a thing to do with poetic imagery re.birdsong, which I suggested the author was comparing to monastic chant) may be rumbled as my tutor was impressed and wants to show it to the other tutor. I mean, I could be *right* about it, but I sounded more sure in the essay than I was because I needed the wordcount. We will see. :)
