weds yesterday evening, which was most amusing and entertaining as usual. Ate cherries and giggled a lot. Drove home via scenic route with Robert.
Today I got up remarkably early for a Saturday - before nine o'clock! - and have spent the morning lounging around in my underwear, being brought delicious things to eat by Robert. Breakfast was two warm-from-the-oven pain au chocolat and a nectarine, and I have just had a marvellous(ly unhealthy) bacon and cheese omelette with salad for lunch. Very tasty. :) I've sorted out laundry - I now have TWO bags of clothes to go to the charity shop. TWO!
I've managed to find something to wear for Kake's dinner tonight, which is a relief - I thought I'd grown out of all my black-tie-suitable clothing, and then I remembered the size twelve dress from Principles which is so stretchy it still fits, even though I'm heading inexorably for size eighteen. With a decent bra and magic underwear I should be fine. Hmm, I want an evening shawl to go with it. Have several, must find one. Or maybe the purple cardigan with flowers and beads... decisions, decisions.
So I'm leaving at four for Croydon; then after the meal I'm off to Wimbledon for the night, and on the morrow I'll be heading to Muswell Hill for brunch with my aunt and her husband, who are just back from a US holiday with my *other* uncle and aunt and cousins. I anticipate many photographs.
In the afternoon, we thought of seeing Robert's dad, but he's busy. Instead I may drag Robert to Dreamspace which is only running till the end of the month - if we don't go before Wales we won't at all. Robert, please comment with a yes/no/erm or similar!
And at some point in there I have to continue to proof-read the Kul-tha songbook, and do some more artistic whatsits! I may go and work on the trousers now, actually. Will pack for London expedition first. Onwards!
