Right. From the Plain, you go down St Clements. You don't go as far as the A&G pub itself; before that, there's the driveway to that Magdalen accommodation (the Florey Building?) and a car park. Enter the car park; it's round the back of what, in my day, was a white-painted estate agents. You want to cross the car park to the tree-bush-hedge-railing thing at the back of it - bearing slightly right, diagonally across the car park, will get you in roughly the right place. I believe there is a signboard (or there used to be) telling you when the meadow closes; next to this there is a gate, and through it is the meadow. We will be not too far from the gate because that is generally the shady area. My picnic rug is red tartan, and I may well be blowing bubbles.
