Major costume-euphoria was happening last night :) I am making pirate trousers - they're stretch black velvet slashed with deep green satin, and despite weird construction techniques and they fact they aren't done yet, they are SO LOVELY. My changeling character may end up sewing fastenings on them on Sunday... I'm going to go and sew more now!

I am still sewing a skirt for someone else, so I don't have a top half for my costume yet. Could be a bit draughty!

If I turn up wearing ordinary black trousers instead, you'll know I tried and failed to finish them, so you won't need to ask :)

I've sewn a little more, but the cat slept on them, so they're a bit fluffier in places than they ought to be. Stupid animal. I'm playing a character on Sunday who sews for a living and owns a costume shop, so I have every reason to sew pirate trousers in-character and I fully intend to do so :) I think I'll be tacking them together, ready to do a last few passes through the machine when I get in on Sunday night... eeeeeep!
