I Have Changed My Mind. I think doing a proper art course takes precedence over doing level 2 BSL. (Ideally I would do both and drop Japanese, but I already said I'd do Japanese and the scheduling doesn't accommodate it anyway.) So I am going to keep looking at the RACC and Reading College programs for useful courses. At the moment, though, the OCN Creative Portfolio looks as though it might be just what I need. I love photography, which it covers, am very interested in trying more ceramics, which it covers, and definitely need to work on the drawing, printmaking, etc. which it covers in the initial term. And I'll come out at the end with a proper portfolio, and hopefully more experience of more media, some idea of whether I'm any good or not, and some ideas about what I mght want to do next. And, if I do it this year, I will finish it before I start a degree, so if I sign up for English and find by the end of the portfolio course that I am a budding YBA, I can do something about it in time. Yay!

That Creative Portfolio course sounds really, really good, and exactly what you were looking for. :)

That sounds like a good idea. Have you checked there's nowhere else in your area where you could continue with BSL on a different night of the week?

This sounds like a very good idea indeed - it looks like a good course in and of itself, and it will probably do what your want: It will tell you whether you can do the art thing.

Bah.

I wanna learn somethink.
