Retail therapy

I have just been shopping. I have spent a heck of a lot of money.

I bought:
From that ethnic-stuff stall on Broad Street:
a mbira (a thumb piano, you know, those instruments with a resonator and strips of metal to pluck)
two bamboo whistles
a string of beads

From Bits Bizarre:
a gopichand
a few beads
two pottery dishes with raffia embellishments
a bamboo rattle
an eggshaped wooden rattle, with stand

From twdesign:
two GORGEOUS leather wrist-gauntlets *purr purr purr*

From the Cancer Research UK shop:
two red pottery bowls
and two matching mugs (nb two further mugs and a bowl remain in the shop)
three glass bottles with corks

From PriceLess:
a pair of black shoes with criss-cross elastic

From Fabricland
several metres of black polycotton
several metres of brown webbing tape
13 assorted wooden buttons and toggles
white fabric paint
6 metres of white cord
some heavy-duty hooks and eyes

I'm sure I've left something out...

I'll work it out :) Not a lot of it needs paying for since I will be keeping it. Possibly five quid total for the flag (depending on cost of rods); I'll charge you for your costume when I have actually made it; it's looking unlikely that I will have it done in time for the weekend. I hope that's not a problem. Er, most of the rest is either stuff for me and Robert (the crockery) or general stuff which I will keep afterwards (the weird instruments). I thought we needed things to make a noise with during our Friday-night ritual :)

80m black net (which I ordered yesterday, so may be cheating!)
12m net in three different neon colours
2m silver fishnet
2m black lace with silver glittery bits
6m black flowery lace
50 small gold safety pins
1m thin black elastic.

twdesign is one of my favourite shops. I should really own moe of their stuff. The man who runs it is lovely. :)

Make several net skirts (http://www.gothstuff.com/clothes/classical.htm). Although not as many as you might think - the long ones take 16 metres each!
