Lots of Things.
Thursday, 26 February 2004 07:44 pmI had so little to do at work today. I resored to organising the clipart on my two computers, and typing a list of the publications in our files. Gerry hasn't got round to giving me anything more to do yet. Tomorrow might be very boring. There's a limit to the work I can actually organise for myself, that's the trouble.
I get to do more time management training next week, and there's a visit to the Typography department tomorrow.
I am really tired, have period pains and am HUNGRY. But Robert isn't, so he isn't making me food yet. He is washing. This is bad. I want a dirty Robert who feeds me, not a clean one who doesn't.
However, when we do eat it will be chicken pie and peas and potatoes. I am looking forward to this - I wonder if I can persuade Robert to make it mashed potato?
I borrowed some books from the Library today! 'The Daughter of Time' by Josephine Tey (which I have read and love but do not own), a couple of E M Forster novels (room with a view and where angels fear to tread) and a lit-crit book on Forster. I am hoping, since it has a chapter each on everything, that it will be lit-crit lite and hence a good re-introduction to the subject.
I have the email address of the lecturer who is supposed to be answering my queries about part-time English degrees, but who has not deigned to send me anything at all since he was contacted in December. I'm not really sure what to say to him, though. Ideas welcome.
Must tidy house! Tidy tidy! might actually have visitors in the next week! Aaaargh!
It is really odd - I have met lots of lovely people since I moved here, and I have been to their houses quite a lot, but they have never seen mine. I want to get it all nice-looking so I can invite them round here to have fun :)
I migt try and do some Japanese, too. Too many things to do! Must make list.
