Arr. I went to worrrrrk. It wasn't bad. I croaked at people a lot, but I only had to croak down the phone about five times, which was better than I expected. I am not at Japanese because I'm really bloody tired; I half-dozed off on the bus home and got off two stops after I should've. Yamamoto-sensei knows I was ill last week so she shouldn't be too surprised I'm not there this time.

I might do some fabric stuff later, but I think I am going to finish a memory wire necklace I began this morning. It uses my new blue glass beads and I am liking it muchly. I need people to give jewellery to! Who wants cool beaded jewellery?

There's usually *no* metal save the clasp, unless it's wirework. What kind of thing do you like? Simple/detailed? Favourite colour?

Purple is tricky - don't often see purple beads. I do have some gorgeous seed-beads which are pink in the middle and transparent blue on the outside, and they look shimmery-lilac-purple from a distance. Do those appeal?

Where do you get your beads from?
I want to pick up some wooden ones to make a rosary for one of my characters, and also a new mala for myself.

It varies. Depends what sort you want really. I use a lot of seed beads which I get either in multipacks from Hobbycraft or in individual cylinders of one colour from anywhere which sells Gutermann beads (Hobbycraft or John Lewis among others). I have just bought a nice selection of varied bone and wood beads from John Lewis.

I don't know where you can get wooden beads in an appropriate size for a rosary; exploring Hobbycraft or John Lewis would be a good start, though. There are also some bead shops online, though I haven't used them as yet.
