Lucyversary!
Tuesday, 8 May 2007 12:44 amI am home I am home!
I have got back to Reading after a very lovely weekend.
I went to London, to Feeling Gloomy for Janet and Owen's birthdays, and saw many nice people and danced till the small hours; I went and slept at Mark's place, which was lovely. Woke up embarassingly late, threw on clothes and went out for lunch at my godmother's house. Her son, my brother and their girlfriends were also there, and we had a totally fabulous meal with a lot of meat, and there was a birthday cake for meeeee! It was great to spend time with people I love and haven't seen for ages. We spent the afternoon talking and lounging about, and then my godmother drove me to Crowborough, my dad's place. I spent the late evening collapsed in a heap being compelled to watch 24 from behind a cushion, and having slightly stupid conversations with my father in which he managed to wind me up quite a lot. We sorted it all out, though, and it was nice overall. On Monday there was a big family lunch with even more meat, and CAKE! and a lot of chilled lounging and playing with Lauren (father's girlfriend's eight-year-old). And then I got on a train home!
And now it is Tuesday, and it is my birthday! I am 26 :) Tonight I am going to go and watch DVDs with Rikk and possibly his housemates, which will be really good fun.
