My essay on Their Eyes Were Watching God is pretty much done - I want to print it out so I can scribble on it ad check that paragraphs mentioning connected incidents are in the right plances, and I haven't repeated myself. I will add a few more quotations, too, and then it ought to be up to wordcount (it's a hundred words under at the moment and that includes footnotes, which is annoying. I can't see it's possible to change how OpenOffice handles wordcount stats.)

I think it's not bad, and it makes a coherent argument. I'm going to finish off the last bits of it later when it's not buzzing round my head quite so much. Instead, I'm going to begin some serious work on my typography stuff - I have to put together a workfile for each project so it's possible to do some of it in tandem.
