AHAHAHAHAAAA! I got onto the English course! Wheeeeeeeee! They had the offer pack already printed - the interview wasn't an interview at all, basically a 'do you have any questions?' YAY! Induction evening on Monday. On the other hand, I have to find £432 before Friday to be enrolled...

I would like to get a hotel room for the Southern Regional (21-23 October) at the Watford Moat House. It looks like rooms are still available at £34/night for a twin room. I can afford £34 for the two nights but not really £68 - so does anyone want to share a room with me? I don't snore or have filthy personal habits! All offers considered. Comments screened to avoid any potential embarrassment...

Crash space offers are also handy, but I don't drive and will have a guitar and big bag to lug about, so I'm trying for the hotel option first!

Quick geek help required: I am changing to mutt from pine. Do I need to use procmail to make mutt sort mailing list mail into separate folders?

TIA!

Edited to add: Yes, I do need to use procmail. That's fine, I'll get it sorted. But where is my mail that was already in folders in Pine? How do I get at that?

I am getting on fairly well with mutt and have found handy commented dotfiles to nick stuff from. I have also set up a procmailrc with recipes for my mailing lists in. However, they are not being used! How do I tell mutt that procmail should be filtering things? Or is the problem with my procmailrc?

Said file begins as follows:

# uk-general
:0:
* ^TO*uk\-general
UK-General

# filk
:0:
* ^TO*filklore
filk

and continues in much the same vein.

argh, argh, argh. Mutt is fine with my folders but when it starts the main inbox is blank! Argh! Where's my mail?

I am going to bed now, and I will struggle further with it all in the morning. Fair warning to geek inhabitants of irc channels I may have frequented in the past, or of my IM friendlist - you may be pelted with really stupid questions for long periods. Apologies in advance. Duck and cover.
